Are You Ready for a Zombie Apocalypse?
DeltAlert ® - an Emergency and Mass Notification System
Monroe County Health Department has contracted with DeltAlert ® - an Emergency and Mass Notification System, which will allow us to send you critical health messages. We will be working hand-in-hand with The Monroe County Emergency Management Agency who will be able to send you alerts as well. DeltAlert® allows us to quickly and easily deliver messages to thousands of contacts within minutes. The system is simple, fast and accurate and will be used to alert you of public health threats, such as newly emerging diseases, prevention strategies, and flu or other clinic information, as well as natural disasters including severe storms, tornadoes, floods, road closures and winter weather advisories, or man-made disasters, such as chemical spills, bio-hazards and Amber Alerts.
As an additional feature, you have the ability to Opt-in. This will allow all Monroe County citizens to add multiple contact modes or select the best contact method for themselves. The system allows you to select from the following methods of delivery; a voice call to your home and/or cell phone, email, text message or through TDD/TTY devices.
